Dances With Wool

Last night, we received our first bit of snow for the season.  Although the snow did not stick to the ground, the hawk did not let up this morning.  Cold weather calls for layers and heavier garments:

Brown boots by Magnanni.

Glen plaid wool trousers are by Burberry.  Faux leather jacket with wool collar is by Charles And A Half.

Not So Spring-Like

The recent weather wasn’t the induction into the spring season that I was hoping for.  It has been a little chilly…and today felt as if we were in the middle of winter.  I had to adorn some of my heavier pieces today to combat the “hawk”:

Brown wingtip kilted loafers with tassels by Cole Haan are a thrifting find.

Light blue cable cord dress socks are by Banana Republic.

Brown corduroy trousers by J.Crew.

Blue pointed collar dress shirt with brown window pane by Chaps is a thrifting find.

Tartan Tuesday

I have been choosing to wear a lot of suits, lately…I think it has something to do with Justin Timberlake’s new “Suit & Tie”  record.  It’s been on repeat!  Today, was another suit look…highlighted by a classic Scottish pattern:

Wingtip double-monk strap dress shoes are by Magnanni.

Socks by Ralph Lauren.

Narrow tartan necktie is by Ralph Lauren.  Vintage tie bar is from Hong Kong Vintage Clothing.  Yellow spread collar dress shirt is by Ralph Lauren.

Silk tartan pocket square is by Ralph Lauren.

Tan suit that features notch lapels, side vents, flap pockets, two button closure, and full interior lining is by Tommy Hilfiger.

Vintage Dope!

Vintage Embossed tie clip from Club Monaco.  Very nice and very sleek.  I like this piece a lot!  $34.50 isn’t a lot of money, but it’s more than I would prefer to pay for a tie clip.  On the flip side, tie clips can last forever.
