Burning Britches

The objective isn’t to spend the most money to look your best, but to spend the least amount of money to look your best.  Take today’s look, for instance…everything was a thrifting find except for the bow tie I found on sale at Macy’s and the chinos that were on sale, as well.  The chinos were $21 and I will say that I spent no more than $50 on today’s look:

shoes

Brown wingtip loafers with tassels by Florsheim are a thrifting find.  Black loafer socks (not seen) are from Steve Madden.  Personally, I cannot wear shoes without socks without feeling a certain level of discomfort.  However, I do enjoy the loafers/drivers and “no socks look”.  Thin loafer socks help me pull off this look without enduring the discomfort of having leather actually rubbing against my bare feet.

tie

Silk navy striped bow tie is by Ralph Lauren.  Blue dress shirt with white contrast spread collar by Nautica is a thrifting find.

Flower

White flower lapel is from a boutique on the campus of UNC Greensboro.

Navy pinstripe suit jacket that features notch lapels, rear center vent, flap pockets, two button closure, and partial interior lining is a thrifting find.  Burnt orange flat front chinos are by Banana Republic.
