Today, I went with another one of my “out-of-the-70s” sort of self-expression looks:
Brown chucka boots from Banana Republic.
Chocolate and pink striped dress socks by Ralph Lauren.
Brown dress trousers by Banana Republic.
Pink french cuff dress shirt with white spread collar by Brooks Brothers.
Turquoise dotted necktie was a thrifting find. This windsor knot, may be my worst one, yet…so, please do not pay attention to that. Tie bar is by Banana Republic.
Glen plaid suit jacket with notch lapel and center vent was also a thrifting find.
Classic white cotton pocket square.
Pink flower lapel pin is from a novelty store in Greensboro, NC…located on Tate Street (UNCG campus). Let me save that I am not big on lapel pins/buttons, but I absolutely love the look. I try to stay away from trends. That’s not to say that lapel pins/buttons are new…cause they have been around for decades, however they are trendy, right now. Following a trend is how I ended up wearing biker shorts in the early 90s. It was awful!
