Black & Brown

Recently, I have been doing a lot of experimenting with black & brown combinations.  I have tested different shades of brown with several black pieces…including black suits.  I have, also, mixed in a grey suit to compliment my black & brown combination.  Today’s look is another black & brown combination:

A Little Rusty

Today, I have on a piece that could have been featured in its on “vintage dope” post.  The best way to describe it is, “A Little Rusty”:

Brown wingtip dress boots by Banana Republic.

Burgundy striped socks from Urban Outfitters.

Forest Green corduroy trousers by Ralph Lauren.

Vertical striped, white collar, dress shirt was a thrifting find.

Forest Green Belk necktie, with rust colored diamonds, was also a thrifting find.  Tie bar is by Banana Republic.

This vintage rust color blazer with burgundy suede elbow patches (patches compliments the socks), notch lapel, center vent, pleated patch pockets, and silk interior lining could be featured in its’ own “Vintage Dope” post.  This blazer is the epitome of vintage dope, courtesy of Hong Kong Vintage Shop in Charlotte, NC.  The lens of my camera (or lighting in my home) does not give you the actual color of the blazer…but it’s a rust color with burgundy patches.

Classic white cotton pocket square.
